The EU Will Hold an Emergency Meeting To Deal With The Energy Crisis
Aug 27, 2022
The Czech Republic, which holds the rotating EU presidency, will convene an emergency meeting of EU energy ministers in the coming days to focus on the energy crisis facing the bloc, Prime Minister Marcelo Fiala said on social media Tuesday.
Since the EU imposed energy sanctions on Russia, EU countries have been plagued by rising energy prices, which have seriously affected people's livelihood and industry, causing widespread concern.
The European Commission said this month it was urgently reviewing the possibility of imposing price limits, without elaborating on specific measures.
