GRS is developed for the needs of the textile industry to verify recycled products. The product must show the percentage of recycled ingredients. In addition to raw material specifications, this standard covers environmental processing standards, including strict wastewater treatment requirements and chemical use, as well as global organic textile standards. Social responsibility factors are also included to ensure the health and safety of workers, to support workers'labour rights and to comply with standards set by the International Labour Organization (ILO).
